TWO sounds – “An-Chor”

This week we are finally hearing a few more unprompted and impromptu two sound words/communication moments… this has been a goal and we’ve been working on this for atleast two years, we’ve been working on more eat forever!! You can hear more and eat separately, but never said together.

Single word, two sounds…”Anchor” is being yelled at the top of his lungs due to the screaming we did when we heard it for the first time! Anchor on the pirate ship, An-Chor!!! An-Chor!! He can yell it forever whenever and wherever he wants.

Single word… Hello!! Hell-oh Hell-oh Hell-oh, lots of using “Hey” as a greeting at the moment too.

Pre School which sounds like “pri skoo” “pri skoo” and sometimes “bi skoo” for big school which is early intervention at a mainstream public school. We do big school twice a week for two morning sessions of 8.45am to 11.25am.

Close door = clo dor

More yoghurt = mo curt

please = peas (sometime she says this with tram for trampoline) or down pea

tramp back = tram ba , tram ba, tram ba

bluey house = bue hou, bue hou

up down = ahh dow, ahh dow

empty full empty full = em foo em foo

mum car, dad car, nan car, elle car – ma car , da car etc etc

black car = ba car

This is going to be a shared goal and I can ask more of his key workers to help promote the two word/sound attempts

This has been a small win and some level of therapy exhaustion relief amongst the chaos and ping pong of the same concepts. Next one we are working on is Water – he struggles with the dual sound War-Ter War-Ter.

Also thank you – currently we only hear “Queue” or Cue or Kyou sound as singular sound.

Lets see what next month can bring with the sounds…
